Magnavox - Jump in?

Mine is a 9302, 6BQ5 powered and I still run 6EU7s, have not converted to 12AX7.

Right now she's loaded with the Russian "Gold Lion" N709, GE pre tubes and a Raytheon 5U4G. But I have a bunch of tubes in rotation. GEs, Mullards, Sylvanias, Reflektors..............

You're OTs may be at risk. I would ask over at AK before trying it Robbin.

I think I would leave 6V6's in it, especially if it is 5Y3 rectified. My comments are only my thoughts on my AMP and am not suggesting anybody else do anything to their amps. I am perfectly willing to risk my own stuff, not yours.

My 9304 hasbeen sitting in my closet since it came out of the ratty old console, but it sounded OK at the estate sale it was playing at and the old smokey Mullard EL84's test very strong.

Since I actually have two channels of clean sound coming out and it has not caught on fire (yet anyway) I will leave it alone

Those Mullards are worth a bundle.

They are worth keeping in the amp to me. Wish I had some you'reapeein' 6EU7's for it. I suppose I could trade some of my Tele or Mullard 12AX7's for some. I have a couple dozen of them.
