WTF? Louisiana Bans Cash For Second Hand Transactions
In a state were it is a requirement to drive past a school, speeding, while throwing an empty forty in a paper bag out the car window right before you stop at the "buy the drink" drive in liquor store. It is not an open container until yo put in the straw. I guess cash is no longer good at the pawn shops.

Thanks for the link. Nobody ever accused folks in Louisiana of being smart or having a good political system (from someone who lived in New Orleans for 3 years). I wonder if the GOP Wunderkind, Bobby Jindal, signed this drivel into law.

I think so but it was a Democrat that introduced the bill. It is unconstitutional and won't hold up in court.

QFT. Is it the law, or just a stupid bill that's headed nowhere (other than the courts, if passed)? Methinks the LA legislature should take a few days off and drink heavily. It may straighten their heads out.

hhhmm.. lemme see.. What's it say right here on the front of this dollar bill...
This note is legal tender for ALL debts public and private..
Doesn't second hand fall under ALL?
Well hell.. guess we'll just have to start trading sex for GS cookies.. but I think there's laws about that somewhere too...

I believe that this bill was aimed at thieves selling stolen property, may have to re-visit the wording.
