They bought some prison art from the curator.

B&C hall, boo.

The "hole" used to be in the basement, until they converted it to the Social Rehabilitation Unit (SRU). The State of Missouri's idea of social rehabilitation was to lock the cons in a cell for 24 hrs a day and give them so much Thorazine that they started twitching. If they were troublemakers, they fed 'em Haldol.

Still don't understand why people would go to a place like that for fun.

Beats me, too.

I once met a man who had just been let out on work release. He had been in jail over in Norfolk for 12 years on cocaine trafficking charges.

I asked him that very question. His answer?

"Faggots. That's where the sick m_____f_____s go to be with their little boyfriends. If one gets out and the other is still in, he goes and gets arrested behind some stupid shit so he can get back in."

Sound familiar, Chas?

Ach! You're talking about tourists! Duh, my bad.

I dunno. Morbid fascination, I guess.

I don't know about that.

I'd say the odds of getting rolled back in, reclassified, and winding up with your same old punk and bunk are pretty slim. If you're just looking for a punk, you certainly don't have to go to the joint for that.

I'd say the majority of those who were re incarcerated are career criminals and/or institutionalized to the point that they could no longer function is society.

How's your associate doing? Do you think he'll be able to make a go of it, or succumb to the siren's call of fast money and good times?

I suppose you're right.

I USED to have a morbid curiosity, but that dog got broke of sucking eggs.
