Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
50m
Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships - a total low-life!

Michael Avenatti @MichaelAvenatti
Replying to @realDonaldTrump
“False accusations?” Like those crimes your fixer Cohen pled to? You are an habitual liar and complete narcissist who also is a disgrace as a president and an embarrassment to our nation. You are so inept that your “best and brightest” are Cohen and Giuliani. Let’s go.

Gotta love Avenatti

President Donald Trump told reporters on Wednesday that China supposedly respects him for his "very, very large brain," during a news conference where he addressed wide-ranging issues.

I sure miss Whell’s “insightful” commentary on stuff like this, lol. He provided so many belly laughs.

New York attorney general says Trump caused his Trump Foundation charity to break the law as she seeks to ban president from non-profits for a decade

New York State Attorney General Barbara Underwood in a new court filing Thursday said that President Donald Trump caused his charitable foundation to break state and federal laws.

Underwood said Trump's actions in that regard, and his use of the Trump Foundation "for his own personal benefit," justified her request to ban him for 10 years from being involved in any non-profit group.

"Donald J. Trump used his control over the Donald J. Trump Foundation for his personal, business and political interests in violation of federal and state law governing charities," Underwood said in the filing in State Supreme Court in Manhattan.

Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales: There's going to be an 'enormous backlash' against Donald Trump's lies

https://www.businessinsider.com/wiki...-coming-2018-9

"Donald Trump is a very talented man as a TV character, as a manipulator of the media, of news agenda. He's played the entire world. We have to give him some kind of perverse credit for that," Wales told Business Insider.

Trump has managed this, in part, because "he lies all the time and openly and cavalierly doesn't care about the truth," Wales said. But he thinks the truth will eventually catch-up with the president come the 2020 election.

"I actually think there is going to be an enormous backlash. I remain optimistic. I don't think that the public doesn't really care about the truth," said Wales, who set up journalism operation Wiki Tribune to debunk fake news.

"These kind of things are sinking in. The idea that we first of all need to be able to trust our politicians to be honest, then we can have a serious debate about policy is really important."

I couldn't have said it any better.

Quote:
In my life, I have watched John Kennedy talk on television about missiles in Cuba. I saw Lyndon Johnson look Richard Russell squarely in the eye and and say, "And we shall overcome." I saw Richard Nixon resign and Gerald Ford tell the Congress that our long national nightmare was over. I saw Jimmy Carter talk about malaise and Ronald Reagan talk about a shining city on a hill. I saw George H.W. Bush deliver the eulogy for the Soviet bloc, and Bill Clinton comfort the survivors of Timothy McVeigh's madness in Oklahoma City. I saw George W. Bush struggle to make sense of it all on September 11, 2001, and I saw Barack Obama sing "Amazing Grace" in the wounded sanctuary of Mother Emanuel Church in Charleston, South Carolina.

These were the presidents of my lifetime. These were not perfect men. They were not perfect presidents, god knows. Not one of them was that. But they approached the job, and they took to the podium, with all the gravitas they could muster as appropriate to the job. They tried, at least, to reach for something in the presidency that was beyond their grasp as ordinary human beings. They were not all ennobled by the attempt, but they tried nonetheless.

And comes now this hopeless, vicious buffoon, and the audience of equally hopeless and vicious buffoons who laughed and cheered when he made sport of a woman whose lasting memory of the trauma she suffered is the laughter of the perpetrators. Now he comes, a man swathed in scandal, with no interest beyond what he can put in his pocket and what he can put over on a universe of suckers, and he does something like this while occupying an office that we gave him, and while endowed with a public trust that he dishonors every day he wakes up in the White House.

The scion of a multigenerational criminal enterprise, the parameters of which we are only now beginning to comprehend. A vessel for all the worst elements of the American condition. And a cheap, soulless bully besides. Watch him again, behind the seal of the President of the United States. Isn't he a funny man? Isn't what happened to that lady hilarious? Watch the assembled morons cheer. This is the only story now."
