From what I've read (which is very little) that's pretty much it but the rhetoric is considerably less inflamed.
"As a member or supporter of the Coffee Party, I pledge to conduct myself in a way that is civil, honest, and respectful toward people with whom I disagree. I value people from different cultures, I value people with different ideas, and I value and cherish the democratic process."

They said what I have been saying, but more succinctly than I have.

Yes, let's ask the politicians very nicely to do the right things. Not gonna happen, even though we wish it could be that simple and civil.

I worry a little about that too but I hope that there's some (effective) middle ground between being nice and being - no offense, TD - total assholes like many of the Tea Partiers at those town hall meetings or the ones who carry the really ugly placards.

Depending on your politics I suppose, the Coffee Party may be a better place to go looking to get laid (lots of grown up hippie chicks). I think their meetings could be more thoughtful, etc., but as to its effectiveness, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Its own bylaws preclude the Coffee Party from being squeaky enough IMHO.

Seriously now, have you ever compared conservative women to liberal women. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Oh, I dunno about that. Maybe the ones on your t.v. set. But, Amy, 5'3", 120 lbs, Blonde hair, bright Green eyes, gave me one of the best romps of my life when I agreed to go to a PETA rally with her, and there were TONS of fine young things at that event, Old Hoss. The speeches made me nuts, and there were some pretty whacko ideas being bantored about, but the sex made it all worth it.
You should try it sometime. Ya might wanna take some earplugs, though.
Regards,
Dave
