IMO, Joining in an established political venue can be daunting to a newbie who must prove their mettle to a tight group of long time players who tend to also have well honed swords. One has to be very well informed and intelligent, or very stupid to participate. I haven't decided which in which category I fall.....

Could you imagine how extremely difficult it had been to become a regular poster in a strange forum with strange people using a bizarre and strange language talking about strange topics?

I daresay only a very few people could pull that off. Stra....that is, unusual people.
