One for curiousity the other for research.
Is he the physician who suffered the near death experience? I heard him interviewed on NPR.

Got the feds filed. Since I work in one state and live in another, the state returns are a little more complicated.

Regards,

D-Ray

I live in Washington, but work in Oregon. Washington has no state income tax, but I pay plenty to Oregon.

My mom started an Eastern philosophy stage in her life when I was an adolescent. We didn't have a TV and they didn't particularly care for my music so I read a lot. I was reading Tolkien and Piers Anthony at the same time I was reading Gibran and T Lobsang Rampa. In my top drawer I have a sandalwood necklace from my mother that was blessed by the Dalai Lama, Tenzing Gyatso, on a trip to the US in the 70's. Not sure exactly where I went wrong, but I think where she went wrong was discontinuing corporal punishment at a rough time in my life.

Hopefully not an extreme overabundance of TMI

Thanks, and I just did a 'something'. I recalled that Florence wrote in one of her letters that we wrote such beautiful words* that we should write to each other from time to time.

Well after thirty years I just did because reading the other book made me realize, though I had suspected as much before - we were destined for each other from birth. He just saw the opportunity to put us together during that blizzard. All of the coincidences were too much out of character for both of us, or for the weather conditions.

*Even our son, who has read them, said they were beautiful and poetic.

Again, I'm reading "Impact" The battle story of the Tenth Armored Divison by Lester M. Nichols. This is the story of one of the armored divisions that fought in the European theater against the Nazi regime. It consisted of three combat commands of approx. 10,000 men per command and a headquarters battalion, which is where my Dad served.
Combat command B was ordered into Bastogne one day before the 101st Airborne and was the only armor they had through the siege of Bastogne. Gen.A."Nuts" McAullife 101st Airborne was the commander in charge and CCB 10thAD was attached to his command.

Here's a link, check out the videos.
