The Tedesci Trucks show Wednesday was certainly our money's worth. Derek Trucks has made a conscious effort to incorporate many genre into his music, and it was apparent in the show. Nevertheless, the influence of his early exposure to the Allman Brothers was also apparent. This was particularly true with the use of two drummers. I would say that it has been years since I had seen a drum solo, but it was in fact a drum duet. Very well done. And Susan Tedesci definitely has a set of fine pipes. He voice projected well even over a ten piece band.
The other interesting thing was that the majority of the audience was pretty close to our age. Some older, some younger. I'm not sure why I expected a younger crowd, but I saw very few twenty-somethings.
Regards,
D-Ray

Quite a few of their concerts are available download in FLAC format for free at archive.org. Needless to say one of my favorite 'new' groups. Alabama Shakes is another band of the same genre and they are also available at this site.

Thanks for the link. Driving to St. Jo. tomorrow, so it will be nice to hear some new tunes.
