In the salient case here, a NJ woman sought a restraining order against her husband after being beaten and raped, the restraining order was denied because of consideration of Sharia law. Take a look at the actions of courts in France and the UK and the influence of Sharia law on their systems. The proponents of restricting Sharia law considerations are actually arguing for less government entanglement with religion and not more. Should Sharia law be taken into consideration when making legal decisions in the United States?

BTW, the pro-Islamic groups can perpetually deny that their religion is peaceful; however, the history of the last thirteen hundred years together with their recent barbarous actions paints a different picture. The West at least moved away from the atrocities of the Dark and Middle Ages.
