Actually, the most violent thing about Gunsmoke was the title. In all the years that show was on TV, I think Marshall Dillon killed one person.

You must be thinking of the Lone Ranger.

He never killed anyone.

He just shot the guns out of the hands of the bad guys.

Matt Dillon killed a shitload of dudes on Gunsmoke.

Our current Lt. Gov wants to fix the ownership rules so that there is not only a restraining order but also no guns allowed

OK...since we remain on the subject of Gunsmoke...

Chester comes running wild eyed into the marshal's office.

Mr. Dillon!!! Mr. Dillon!!!

What is it Chester?

Uh...well it all started this morning. I was down to the Long Branch having a cup of coffee, and Miss Kitty says to me, 'Chester...let's you and me have a picnic.' So I loaded up the buckboard with a basket of vittles for lunch and a big blanket and we rode out of town, down to the side of a little creek. I spread out the blanket and went back to the buckboard for the grub. When I got back to the creek...why...Miss Kitty was lying on her back on the blanket with all her clothes off. She opened her knees a little, looked up at me with them big blue eyes and said, 'Chester, go to town.'

And...uh...here I am.
