The only reason we're stealing from the kids right now is because we already stole from the old folks. 'We' can be insanely dumb.

Dear God, I have read about the suicide rate among returning soldiers. I did not especially stop to think of the people they leave behind. I thank God that I found Florence as I was about three steps away from that myself, but not for the reasons Clay had. Damn those stupid wars.

Thanks I missed that part of 60 minutes last night.

I can empathise with his parents and friends because of my experience with a person who grapples with suicidal tendency.

BTW the 2nd battle of Fallujah, in which Marines were employed in house to house combat was a awful misuse of the Marines and a waste of effort.
