Yeah. I was focusing on the echo chamber part. I've probably produced less than 50 tweets in the ten or so years I've been there, but I get responses from all sides of the political/cultural spectrum.

I'm guessing that the "echo chamber silo" comment meant it is a site full of different echo chambers. But how does that explain people getting cancelled, unless they have the audacity to venture into someone else's silo. And what does he mean by "farm"? Are they growing, even when members are being cancelled? Are entire silos being cancelled? I'll hold judgement until I understand exactly what he was driving at.

I get it that for 'your' purposes you've employed 'parsing' another member's statement to make a point despite it's relevance. It's a common tactic that's utilized to deflect/obfuscate from the point being made.

As to folks getting themselves banned, ie "cancelled"? When you violate the terms of use that one agreed to in advance of joining any online forum, expect consequences. It's not that opaque or even nefarious as some are wont to complain such as the former, twice impeached guy. In fact, herr T'Rumpolini was given far more leeway than most.

Not so overall, various groups gather around differing posters for affirmation of common points of view/opinion. The round-robin of affirmation basically becomes an echo chamber silo amongst many other silos of differing outlooks. The good ones may allow for a discussion of differing opinions hopefully based on agreed factual verifiable information.

They have stated he is kinda a....troll with some of his posts.

With the vast majority of people getting their info from other then newspapers TV printed media... Rather then from the internet where paying for content is not to their liking, going to FB Twitter and the many others where disinformation runs amuck and seemingly unchecked.

He may well be seeing a chance to be in charge of the narrative for a vast portion of the planet. Controlling the flow of content. Hiding blocking opposing counter contents and amplifying his agendas....

I set up an account years ago but rarely use it. I mean, maybe 30 posts in that time. In fact I forgot I had it until someone directed me to a tweet a few years ago and when I clicked on it, I was still "logged in" from the last time I used it.

But I think a lot of folks that don't like this are in heavy projection mode. That is, the site is infamous for cancelling people who don't follow a particular narrative, and now they have the unmitigated gall to say that is what HE is going to do. The humor is not lost on me.
