Flip, flip, flip............

There is a segment on the return of "House Flipping" this morning. I also found this article;

http://www.appeal-democrat.com/news/...ing-house.html

It would seem theat with the dearth of foreclosed homes left in the wake of the Bush administration () and the recovering economy conditions are getting right for flipping again. Although, this time I might not bother. Itwas great, made a lot of money, but it's a ton of work........I'll have to think about it.

Things aren't now as they were then.

And while it may be time to test the waters, cheap interest and all...if it really were a money making opportunity, why are so few doing it?

The easy money is over now. Every time I've run the numbers on a project like that, the best I could make is wages...provided I did most of the work myself and used help on a cash basis.

Then again, we really never had a bubble in central Missouri. Housing has always appraised at pretty much what it cost to build. And the prospect builders who made money always did it by screwing their help, using substandard materials, and other tricks like 2" concrete floors.

I was when I posted that, but I'm sober now.

Too bad you can't sober up from being an ass.
