The next two years will be the test. The cult will be a hard one to get rid of. They a gleeful in their ignorance and conspiracies. Any with a hope of recovery it would seem to be or have happened by now.

The mid term elections will speak volumes of the hope for this nation.
You might be right about that, Oerets, but, I hope not. I see recovery as a longer process. I don't see it as a political process, but rather, a process that involves close friends and family members who can talk some sense into the cult members.

Less is more

An interesting juxtaposition. On this mornings local cable TV listings one channel has the impeachment hearings and another channel has The Three Stooges. Fifty Republican stooges vs the original three. I'd rather watch Larry, Moe & Curly than the Repub stooges in the Senate.

Those cowards formerly known as Republicans are counting on the Republican base having short memories. "I refused to convict Donald tRump" will be a major plank of many campaign platforms in the midterm elections. Already efforts are underway to minimise the evidence the Democrat impeachment managers are presenting.
I hope the cult members are reminded that it was Trump who lost the majority in the senate and lost the presidency and has blood on his hands for the many people who died of the virus and didn't have to.

Understand that very little of that matters to the cult. The cult members still believe that the election was stolen and tRump actually won. As soon as the tRumplicans formerly known as Republicans acquit their leader he'll be ready to host rallies extolling his innocence and gearing up to campaign for the 2024 presidential election.

Looked up what I could find about Daniel Hodges' injuries, BTW. A news story described them as 'minor,' though the incident looks like a swell way to get PTSD to me. In any case, he looked OK in pics where he and two other Capitol police were invited to attend Superbowl.

The Managers were off to a great start but now have overstayed their welcome. Lots of repetition and beating of dead horses. Somebody should have gotten these guys an editor.

This trial is a dead end but the potential campaign videos will be priceless. Or a future documentary that the GQP will find more than irksome.

Angry Getting their lies straight

Chicks Manu Raju @mkraju

Several GOP senators just met with Trump’s defense attorneys, including Cruz and Graham. Lee also spotted going in. Graham refused to talk about it after. “See you tomorrow,” he told me. Schoen told us there’s nothing inappropriate about meeting with jurors in impeachment trial

Completely inappropriate jury tampering. These clowns need to be banned from voting on this.
In a normal trial the defendants strive to all say the same story. In this case the traitors confer with the head traitor's attorneys so their statements (excuses) not to convict don't all seem to come from the same prepared script.
