Can't retire until 65 Blues!

Went in for a yearly checkup with a Doctor I been going to for close to thirty years.

Asked me about another of my Doctors retiring. Haven't heard anything.

He then proceeds to go on a little rant about UPS Ford employees with "maybe" a HS diploma retiring with benefits in their fifties. I answered, you need a union too.

Mumbled something under his breath. Then said he was going half days till he was 65 and can get Medicare.

During the ACA debate wanna guess what his position was on single payer? Wonder if it has changed. Need to ask next year.

As one who when seeing another with more then me. Rather then begrudging them or wishing they had not. Think why not I and what can be done.

Maybe your physician would be a happier guy if he had spent his "productive" years (why do we call it that?), working on the line at Flint Assembly, driving home in his 2008 GMC Sierra instead of his 2023 Maybach S680. WTF???
