Could revolutionize construction in the third world since cement manufacturing is very energy intensive.

Locally available materials? Like, who keeps vats of bacteria around?

But there is great potential in this approach I'm sure. I especially like that they're thinking of actual living structures. Eventually we'll be 'building' houses by planting a house seed?

I'm old school.

Tie your steel right, use the required amount of concrete (thickness), and a good 6 bag mix and your foundation will last until the cows come home.

Don't go cheap on the footers.

Concrete is the industry standard with a proven track record. Why bet on a unproven with your hard earned dollars?
