Without our 'decrepit system' Trump's candidacy would have no traction. In addition, his participation in the Republican primary is providing his access to our highest office.

Trump is finding access despite the system.

Clinton = narcissist?
Whatever her faults, TGWD is the reigning poster child of narcissism.

A lot of the educated support Trump and a lot of the uneducated support the Democrats.

DQ, are you an elitist?
No he is just a nice person.

I read Lucifer's Hammer a long, long time ago.

The thing about Trump is that he might be a savvy carnival barker but he might also believe that Obama was really born in Africa. Now that is scary.

You want a guy like that with the football?

I can't wait for Trump to increase the price of Fords made in Mexico by 35 percent, all on his own without Congressional approval. Thank god that fantasy won't happen. That would hurt corporate Ford in Detroit, while conversely the Toyotas built in Kentucky and the Hondas built in Ohio and Indiana would not have the tariff and that would help Toyota and Honda in Japan.

If this is so, why isn't he running as an independent?

I asked DQ. BTW, plenty of elitists are nice people.

So?

The guy you're implying Trump is isn't who he is.

Should we continue the Clinton dynasty of self serving, narcissistic corruptability? Nope.

Do years of expansion of gov't activism and income at the expense of economic growth mean that it's time for a far more of the same under Sanders? Nope.

Is Trump, in my opinion, head and shoulders a better alternative than the other two? Yes.

Did our political system yield the best possible candidates for president? Nope

Are there individuals who might have been better than any of the above? Hell yes, but our current political system as constructed by the major parties would never be remotely attractive to any of them.

Part of the attractiveness of the audacity of Trump is that he's demonstrating that he doesn't need that decrepit system to gain access to elected office. I hope others are noticing.
So, we turn to an Authoritarian, Nationalistic Demagogue who openly admits to inflaming angry, undereducated tools to bolster his base?

Haven't we seen this movie before?
