The thread morph into me talking about my medical conditions.

My neck 'healed' on it's own, although it still hurts. My left hip gave out a year ago, but it's not serious enough for surgery. I have to walk that one off, too, by working 12 hour shifts surrounded by young people who are allergic to work.

The OP was about , I think, shadowy forces instigating rioting and looting. The new news is about, if I read it correctly, DHS guys trying and failing to lie convincingly about how protestors are terrorists. The two things don't exactly align, seems to me.

If a politician making false or misleading statements is "destabiliz(ing) our democracy", this country would have descended into anarchy before the constitution was ratified.

On the other hand, looks like Biden want in on the fun:

As I was informed by a member on this forum, back when Obama uttered his lie of the year for 2010 (You can keep your doctor): "So what? Politicians lie. Big deal".

That said, much of what gets characterized as a "lie" by today's left is simply saying something they disagree with. I can't read the WaPo article since it's behind a paywall, but I'm not inclined to put much stock in it, since WaPo itself has a history of not quite telling the truth.

Leave it to you to draw an equivalency between Biden's 9 misleading statements over the last month to Trump's 82 lies in 2 days. Moreover, Trump lied on average 20x daily during the entire course of his presidency, including constantly repeating the Big Lie (even to this day)that resulted in a violent and deadly insurrection in support of his coup attempt.

Also, if Trump had lied and insulted as many people as he has during colonial times, he would have been killed in duels at least 10 times over before he even became president.
