Electors Harassed and Threatened

For those of you all fired up about a foreign power trying to tamper with the outcome of the election, let's see if you're just as upset about leftists who are trying to tamper with outcome of the election.

Electors around the country are being harassed with a barrage of emails, phone calls and letters — and even death threats — in an effort to block Donald Trump from being voted in as president by the Electoral College on Monday.

Reports of GOP electors being badgered have been reported in numerous states, including Georgia, Idaho, Tennessee, Arizona, Utah and Michigan.

...Republican Patricia Allen of Tennessee told The Post she’s been bombarded with 2,000 emails, 120 letters and five phone calls all urging her to switch and vote against Trump. But Allen, 74, said that despite the “siege,” she’s not budging.

“This has never happened before … Do you know how long it takes to delete all those emails every day?” she asked.

She’s also been solicited by a Harvard University group backed by constitutional law Prof. Lawrence Lessig, who has offered free legal aid to electors who change their vote.

For Michael Banerian, a senior at Oakland University in Michigan and a Republican elector, the harassment comes with a dark side.

He said he’s been getting death threats via email, snail mail, Twitter and Facebook.

“Somebody threatened to put a bullet in the back of my mouth,” Banerian, 22, told The Post on Wednesday.

In Utah, a group called Democracy and Progress PAC placed full-page ads in Salt Lake City’s daily newspapers telling electors they are “not bound” to vote for trump, who won the state.

But the Desert News reported that under Utah law, Trump must receive all the state’s Electoral College votes, since he won the election in the state.

Cool, so now we've got folks encouraging Utah electors to break the law.

What I would like to say to these emotionally malnourished individuals is this: unless you are personally willing to pick up a weapon and start killing your fellow Americans for what you believe in, shut up. Shut up, go home, forgive your dad for not hugging you enough, and stop pushing toward a civil war that you yourself would be unwilling to fight in.

My challenge is of course rhetorical; we all know that none of these Hilary voters pushing for an Electoral College coup would be willing to take up arms to defend their hijacking of the election result. They’d be fine with President Obama or President Hillary sending in troops to kill and arrest any citizens’ militias that arose against their coup, as long as they still get to sit in their cozy homes and watch Trevor Noah validate their vapid opinions. They’re a bunch of spineless, cowardly hypocrites who just want to get their way.

Which is, come to think of it, the exact reason for everything that’s wrong with the Democratic party today: its supporters are a bunch of spineless, cowardly hypocrites who just want to get their way.

This is actually pretty funny. "You have our respect..." Should be followed by: "...at least until the vote is over, then you guys will once again be viewed by us as the lower forms of life that we really think you are."

Exactly and the process is complex and secretive controlled by both parties, which is why eliminating the electoral college is a pipe dream. Why not every state award delegates proportionally? Because that would be more democratic and open.
