Yeah, but your idea of "proving" something is from centuries gone by.
It is using force to impose ones will. Economy and intellect is the modern arbiter of might. The red states are clearly at a deficit here.

The use of the term cowardice is interesting as it can be considered cowardice to feel a need for war implements to live life from day to day in such a comparatively civil society yet I do believe some would fight as you suggest, in a misguided defense of the staff that makes them feel secure.

If it were up to me, yeah, I would roll up to your doorstep in a tank and take away your guns.

This country is out of control with black powder fever.

But honest, that is not what I would do although I would love to. What I would do is the get the red states representation in DC more in line with their actual numbers.

Get rid of two senators from every state right off the bat. This was a failure of an idea from the get go. That would be a good start.
