I had two bullies in my boyhood; got into a fight I did not want with one, managed to get sitting on his chest and whaled the crap out of him. Bully2 was chasing me around the schoolyard, got tired just after jumping over the ditch and turned around and swung as hard as I could - like to have broken my hand. But no more bullying after I discovered that the Marquis of Queensbury was an idiot.

I beat one to the floor with a ballpeen hammer in metalshop. I wanted to kill him. Fortunately for him, (but unfortunately for civilized society), the POS lived. I'm sure he can be found at a TP meeting today, screaming about the poor "oppressing" him today, however.

A ballpeen hammer to the head is a nearly certain avenue to TP participation IMHO.

I helped some of the tough guys with math so they liked me.
I helped some of the girls with math, and they liked me too, just not the way I wanted them to. Finally, I learned to act stupid, and that helped for awhile. Then I learned I liked smart girls better, and that helped even more.

D-Ray

Eh...nobody wants to involve the parents today. Make them responsible for the kids actions. If the bullying is school related...the principal was in charge and needs to handle it. If he/she is incapable of doing so...then there are laws to follow through with. WE did.
The VICTIM needs to see justice.

That is my position with respect to lots of educational issues. If the home environment is the biggest predictor of school success or failure, the most effective way of improving student performance is finding some ways to hold the parents accountable for their student's performance.

I had a bully come after me with one of those in the first grade. Next day, he was removed from school and I never saw him again.
