About that rigged nomination system...

I think I remember some discussion about this in another thread.

This article was interesting.

I don't think the system was set up to be rigged.

But, it's complicated and I believe some players know better how to navigate the system to their advantage.

It is a F@#ked up system. The Colorado GOP is an egregious example.

For the Dems the system is super rigged with those super delegates.

After the heightened interest of the population and the extravagant media
exposure the public has come to realize, on viewing its history, that the rules and ways of the electoral exercise was adjusted over time to frustrate the will of the people.

This is a bitter digest for those who wholeheartedly believed in the superiority of American Democracy.

Such a disappointment when it is suddenly apparent that your voting input is severely curtailed. It is a monumental let down, especially to the young and fresh face.

I find our for profit justice system philosophically problematic as well. I don't know what an alternative would be, but the notion that one faces impoverishment to use it just seems wrong, not to mention that "justice" may regardless favor the more costly debate major.

Explain how having Super Delegates is not setting up the system to be rigged.

"Rigged" may not be totally accurate. Perhaps more an intended failsafe to prevent mob rule, as the Trump phenom may be perceived.

"Failure" defined as an inability to control the process and select the candidate.

The USA has always been a Plutocracy, with popular input, that seldom strays from the path of the rule of gold.

How did we then end up with a Trump that the GOP least wanted (and look who came in second) yet the Democratic Party would up with Hillary, their unanimous choice?
