The Policing of Wall Street - Not

It's a pretty long read, but here's a compelling story about how Wall St. and its regulators are in bed together and how no punishment was meted out for all the corruption that caused the recent crash.

It's enough to make your blood boil.

Turner is correct, when it comes to Wall St., we don't have a bunco squad.

As I've said before, only an idiot robs a bank with a gun. The smart guys leave with a stack of papers under their arms, smiling and shaking hands with the bank president.

What I have been saying all along. Corruption has become a way of life for the monied men and they will stoop to anything to steal a buck. I was going to write "make a buck" but that scum never "made" anything in their lives, stealing is all they know.

In case you needed more proof:

"The trustee trying to recover money for victims of Bernard L. Madoff's infamous Ponzi scheme is trying to recoup more than $1.5 million of Madoff payouts from the family of David M. Becker, the general counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission." *

I think you misunderstood the article, Chas. The SEC General Counsel is being sued by the fellow charged with straightening out Madoff's mess because the SEC guy's mom made a bunch of illicit profits from Madoff which the SEC counsel ended up inheriting (i.e., the SEC general counsel profited from the Madoff scandal and is now being sued to get the money back).

I didn't read the article, I just misinterpreted what you had posted.

Guess I'm too busy being a smart ass to let the facts get in my way.
