"Democrats are “dragging private citizens through the mud"
That's bullshit. I've never been one who feels that one should be able to sway an election and keep their name private. Why are these GOP donors so ashamed to be named as doners? Man enough to donate the cash but not man enough to put your name on it? You don't want anyone to know you support some of these vile organization intent on crushing the middle class?
You're entitled to your free speech. You're not entitled to hide from the repercussions of that free speech.
Sounds kind like the MO of the hooded KKK to me.

Exactly. I've heard Republican propagandists say that if you have to hide what you're doing, it's wrong.
Well.......................?

Whatever happened to the uber mensch mentality of 'personal responsibilty' that the wingnuts are constantly carrying on about?

The sickening part is the Senate leader attacking private citizens while simultaneously finding nothing wrong with similar democratic monied interests. I have yet to find anyone state what the Koch's have done that deserves such demagoguery. That idiot standing in an empty chamber making partisan speeches is the far greater problem. Fortunately, the Kochs can protect themselves from such nonsense.

The solution would be a totally publicly financed elections. One with a start an and end, a timed election cycle like other countries practice.
Like that will ever happen!
