I remember reading a story about a "fellow" who, during "The War of Northern Aggression" had just passed into Kansas from Missouri, along with his new found wealth.
Apparently a terrible storm erupted, and this "fellow" was struck by a bolt of lightening. At the time he was wearing a brace of Colt's, and the lightening strike fired all of their cylinders.
The spectators reported that it was a most impressive sight.
At least it's supposed to be true!!!

Even though the Cap & Trade protocol was instrumental to the success of the Clean Air Act of 1990 in ridding us (mostly) of acid rain, I'm a little skeptical about using it for CO2. I'd support a healthy tax hike on gasoline instead for the reasons I posted yesterday somewhere here.

So, what are you saying, HB? What sort of a plan are you talking about? Do you think the leak is the result of Obama Administration dirty tricks?

I read your reasons and I'm still opposed.
I see it as more power in the hand of the Fed Gov. They take their cut and return a percentage to those who toe their line.
IMHO, the Fed Gov has overstepped their boundaries, and needs to be slapped down.
Not trying to pick a fight, but that's my opinion on the matter.

Pick a fight, that's OK sir..
If Congress were willing/able to pass a stiff, but revenue neutral gas tax (to your wallet as well), would you support it? And if not, why not?

If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have anyone to fight with...at least tonight.
No, I wouldn't support it.
My reason is, once they get the money they will use it as the means to enforce their will on us...once they take their cut.
Bottom line is, I'm no fan of central planning. I an loathe to grant any more power to our masters.
Are we diametrically opposed on this issue?
