Let the Games Begin

While I think there is a need to investigation some of the failures of Congress in the last several years, Issa better be careful. The "retribution" aspect of "politics as usual" are pretty unsavory when viewed from both sides of the political spectrum. This Congress was elected to go forward and fix, not look back and blame.

He's not looking to investigate the failures of Congress (of which he is part). He's aiming for the executive branch. His Chicken Little approach will wear thin very quickly with the public.

Darrel Issa, Republican from California and co-author of the "Public Option".
Is going after our "Socialist" president. Boy, this circus just gets more and more entertaining as it goes along.

That is what I have heard too, lobbyists want their boys to find something to impeach Obama for. The rest is just a nice smokescreen.

Now why am I not surprised that you are a political skeptic - and know that I say that with respect. We have seen plenty of political theater in the past two years (from both sides of the aisle, I will admit). There is a tremendous risk that allowing such a process-oriented subject to dominate the political scene could very well alienate the same people who provided a GOP majority in the house. I would suggest that hours and hours of "testimony" will not satisfy the public demand that Congress focus on Jobs any more than a long drawn out fight over health care reform.

That was quite the fiery photo of Mr. Issa with that article. It doesn't appear that he would have the sense of humor to permit Mr. Colbert to make a return appearance before Congress.

Regards,

D-Ray

Are your suggesting that these hearings will identify those who aren't True Americans?

REAL AMERICANS not true Americans (nit picking I know)

As a lovely poster here once told me, real Americans have ancestors who fought in the civil war. Presumably to keep black folks in chains.

I'm saying that that loonie gasbag up in Minnesota is behind it, and that McCarthyism is exactly what it is.

Watch.
