Police arrested an armed man near Brett Kavanaugh's home

https://news.yahoo.com/police-arrest...150450629.html

"At approximately 1:50 a.m. today, a man was arrested near Justice Kavanaugh's residence. The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh. He was transported to Montgomery County Police 2nd District," spokesperson Patricia McCabe said in a statement.

People close to the investigation told the Post that police found initial evidence that shows the man was upset about last month's leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that could overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that legalized abortion nationwide nearly 50 years ago. The Supreme Court is expected to hand down a series of contentious decisions by the end of this month, including a major one concerning abortion.

Sources said the man was also angry about a recent string of mass shootings across the country, according to The Post.

Something's wrong in this country where we have a surfeit of individuals who think the solution to their problem or grievance is to shoot it.

Back in the late 70's through the late 80's there was a Chicago City Council alderman named Martin Olberman. He was a favorite target of muckraking Chicago journalist and sarcastically hilarious political critic Mike Royko. So one day I'm driving around the near north side and Olberman, who's out jogging through the heavy traffic, runs out across Lincoln Ave. against the light and I almost hit his sorry ass. So just for fun when I get back to the office I call Royko (who always answered his own phone) and reported that I had almost killed Martin Olberman. Royko replied, "Better luck next time" and hung up.

So...in honor of the memory of the, legendary Mike Royko, I say to this guy, BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME!

Nice that the cops do their jobs when the wealthy and well-connected are involved.

This follows the murder of a judge by a wingnut in Wisconsin and one in New Jersey a few years back. Second Amendment solutions all over the place.

If the perp were a Republican, he'd be lionized as a hero like Kyle Rittenhouse or the crazy lawyer couple from St Louis.

Hey, let's use the NRA's "logic" here, shall we? Arm all the justices with AR-15s, just like they want to do with teachers! Yeah, that's the ticket...

Thoughts and prayers...

I bet you're not nearly as upset about the hundreds of people wanting to "hang Mike Pence" and a President who expressed his approval of this murderous sentiment against his own VP.
