I think you still missed the point. Pete's response to my grammatical nit-picking demonstrates that he knows that I was joking with him. In return, he responded by using the term that I had called an abomination. I think the expression is friendly banter. I'm sure that Pete or anyone else here knows when I am calling them out on something, and it is always something with more substance than a grammatical error.
