There is some spin on that one. Though blowing them up with no one too close to them is one customary way of safely disposing of explosive things.

I was aware of that, and that's why I found the news article bizarre.

Nobody would risk defusing a floating mine when it posed no risk to anything.

They probably used a drone with satchel type charge to detonate it.

It's a committee of one. The holy trinity so to speak - me, myself and I. Thing is, there are billions of these committees out there and they just keep on multiplying like rabbits.

I hedged the holy allowing each individual to decide for themselves.
