Reports of a 40 mile long convoy headed for KYIV. Putin's leaving his ass hanging out. Imagine how much fuel and supplies such a convoy would need? Hurt the fuel supply line of that and that highway becomes a parking lot. The Ukrainians have Turkish rocket carrying drones. What happens to Putin's invasion forces if they start to run out of fuel, munitions or even food? You can have forces encircle a city but then they become a stationary target.

On a side question will the oligarchs, who were doing fine until now, have any influence on Putin to halt the invasion?

Whenever you attack a supply line or 'stationary' troops, however tempting the targets, your ass is also hanging out. Small attacks are pinpricks; big attacks engender big reaction. It becomes a matter of who fights harder and smarter, but also of who runs out of asses first.
