I am not quite sure why a 'well regulated militia' was taken by so many here to mean 'untrained' as that was the least thing that the framers of the Constitution had in mind, but then there is this language barrier I suppose.

They meant "well regulated" by the government. This is why you only hear half of the 2nd quoted by pro gun-Nazis. The rest embarrasses them.
