Long-time lurker finally joins
Good morning everyone. As mentioned in the title of this thread, I've been lurking a good long time and decided to join up.
Look forward to the good clean fun to be had. And try not to take anything I say too seriously... Unless, of course, you agree with me .

Welcome Magi. Hope you have fun here. I might be way off base, which some of the people around here will tell you is nothing new, but your signature seems to indicate a libertarian bent. If so, you will bring an interesting new angle to the discussions (which will probably happen even if you are not a libertarian). It seems like libertarians will agree with us lefties on many of the social issues, but with the right wing on what they think is the appropriate role for government. I know that is way over-simplified, but it is a basic framework for the comparison. I look forward to our discussions.
Regards,
D-Ray

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
Politically, you could say I'm something of a walking contradiction- A libertarian with socialist leanings, or a socialist with a strong libertarian bend. But, it works for me, and I'm pragmatic enough to know that it does not matter who is in power- it all works out about the same and will do so until there is wholesale change in the system. So, in the meantime, all that's really debatable is theory.
