Nevada is a very big Federal backyard with a relatively small population, not that they shouldn't have a voice.

Having spent my share of time at the Nevada Test Site and inside the Yucca Mountain Project during the tunnel boring phase, it's hard to understand the concerns when one considers that the Test Site fired off a nuke once every three weeks for over 30 years (some above ground and many below ground).
