Laertes gave some good advice to his son; "Above all to thine own self be true, thence thou canst be false to no man."

The baseball card comment was somewhat tongue in cheek. Nevertheless there is a difference. The collection has sentimental value to me that is above it's market value, but for the right price I can sacrifice sentimental value. There are other values that are more dear to me than sentimental value.
For some being a prostitute (in the sexual sense) might not be a values conflict at all. They have no moral inhibition against what they do. (How many times has the hooker with a heart of gold shown up as a character in a movie.) For other reasons, most places (but not all) have seen fit to make the practice illegal. I wouldn't engage in such, but I can't stand in judgment of those who do. Given the opportunity, I would prosecute those who exploit others in that way, however (i.e. pimps).
I have values conflicts with what goes on in advertising. Others don't. Feeling the way I do, I would be prostituting myself to engage in advertising for a living, but that is not the case for everyone else who is drawn to that work (although it probably is for some).
The last quote from Rob sums it up well - to thine own self be true.
Regards,
D-Ray

What makes you think everybody wants to be really rich, Bill? Most people don't even try, and contrary to popular belief it isn't just 'cuz they're lazy or stupid. Sometimes it's because they love what they do. And if they're comfortable with the money they make from it........
But, don't take this to mean that should be taken advantage of. Most people still expect to be able to live off of the money they make. Which leads me to;
You know, I agreed with you that we're all green. You came back with your typical, "...you're all living off of us Republicans..." line. Well, I dunno, there are some pretty rich Liberals out there, who employ a lot of people as well. (Look into who Bill Gates supported in '08.... .) But, regardless, you and Ayn Rand do have a point......to a degree. You see, when the masses have nothing left to lose......Well, that's generally when the bloodiest revolutions take place. And, by the time they reach that point, a rich guy is a rich guy, regardless of how he got his loot.
It can go both ways. There is plenty of history full of wealthy heads in baskets.

Of course not, D-Ray. But you certainly don't believe photo of a bumper sticker along with the meer existence of morons in society regardless of political leanings can or should be automatically assumed to be corollary.
It may be convenient for you to do so but that just makes my point. A+B does not always = C.
The guy in my avatar is Saul Alinsky. Ironically enough, staging a bumper sticker photo like that, then throwing it out on the internet would be a tactic right out of ol' Saul's playbook.

Yep. If you've ever seriously looked into the world behind underground prostitution it is a sad story involving sometimes drug addicted, underage girls. Some sold into hooking by their own families. However, in legal, regulated prostituion it's much harder to find one that didn't choose her (Or his.) own path. In the US and Europe anyhow. Places like Thailand, Mexico, Phillipines? It may be legal, but it's still a nasty business.

And it is not murdering one's pets like in Arkansas either......
By msnbc.com staff and news services
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Police were investigating Monday after a cat belonging to the family of a Democrat's campaign manager was beaten to death and the word "liberal" scrawled across its side.
The cat belonged to the family of Jake Burris, who manages Democrat Ken Aden's bid for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District.
Burris was returning to his Russellville home with his four children when he found the cat on his doorstep Sunday night, the Aden campaign said in a press release.

Real classy, huh?

The right wing in Arkansas immediately accused Burris of killing the cat and carving "Liberal in it's side to discredit Aden's Republican challenger. BTW, Burris' young daughter was the first to see her dead cat.
Russellville is a very Conservative part of the state. It is not all bad though. It is also the home of Bob Crites the god of Klipsch parts. I am going to his place this month to pick some parts up.

One would assume the bumper sticker itself does apparently exist as evidenced by the photo. The question remains for me as to what it's origin really is. It should for you also.
