That's my opinion at least.

Why have an election, when we could just wait for "God" to appoint the appropriately deluded Republican? Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck and Rove could just gather together in secrecy and let out a puff of smoke to let us know whom the Almighty has selected. Limbaugh could blow it out of his ass on the Whitehouse lawn amid patriotic fanfare and fawning rightwing media.

Yes, I have pretty much developed a hatred for these people. They are nothing but sanctimonious drivel pumping anal retentives.

Lookiing good on TV is not on my list, and I agree that the importance of that factor can be harmful.

But my memory of the Republican field is sort of different. Only one seems to remotely meet your description--Jon Huntsman.

He might have been the exception.

Huntsman. That's the guy. He is an example of contemplative people that get pushed aside.

I liked Huntsman. He captured the essence of that election cycle when he said of Donald Trump;

"I refuse to kiss his ring or any other part of his anatomy."

The Republicans really were showing their "butt-licking flunkies sucking up to the arrogant rich guy" side that time around.

To which the Amerian voter repied; "Yaw fiyud!"

Right. This is why I love it when Conservatives complain about Liberals being "arrogant" and "elitist". These are the people who ran Donald Trump in a presidential election....................

What more is there to say?
