Of the flood of misinformation, conspiracy theories and falsehoods seeding the internet on the coronavirus, one common thread stands out: President Trump.
That is the conclusion of researchers at Cornell University who analyzed 38 million articles about the pandemic in English-language media around the world. Mentions of Mr. Trump made up nearly 38 percent of the overall “misinformation conversation,” making the president the largest driver of the “infodemic” — falsehoods involving the pandemic.

That begs the question why? I do not understand how anyone could have any reguard for cheeto head. So if folks do have some faith in him, I haveto think, what in the hexx am I missing. I mean really, how can a reasonable person believe him?

Because they aren't reasonable, rational, thinking people, simply put. It's exactly the same thing that drives people to believe in other things, like cults (the Cult of Donny is very real) - the need for someone or something "bigger" than themselves.
Reasonable, rational, thinking people get this through art, literature, journalism, music, science, ... Cultists are simply too lazy to read, preferring to simply believe whatever lies their cult leader tell them. A very sad bunch.

They want to believe him. It's that simple.
Donny offers them the excuses they crave to explain their failed lives and immoral/unethical desires.
It's pretty simple really.
You problem is that you don't see humans for what we are, a failed species.

Half of Americans over 55 may retire poor
COVID-19 job losses, early withdrawals may decimate retirement finances
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/ha...oor-2020-10-01
Yet millions of them will continue to vote Repube, a party that doesn't give a damn about them, and will try mightily to destroy their healthcare, Social Security and Medicare - their lifelines. Sad.
Will they look back at Donny's incompetence, and regret voting for him? Many of them, as personified by our resident Trumpkins, are simply too ignorant.

All I can say is he better not die from C-19. If he does the internet will savage him. Remember Boris Johnson played badass and C-19 kicked his ass too.
