Stuart Highway, Australia
I just learned the Stuart Highway (runs the length of the country from north to south) has a 200 mile section with no speed limits.

Another reason to visit Oceania before I become too crabby to drive safely.

Well, I have some friends moving to New Zealand and was planning on visiting next year.

The opportunity to drive an automobile designed for speed at the optimum performance level legally is something I have always wanted to do and hope I can arrange it.

I'm pretty sure I will make the attempt maturely and responsibly.

Those are awesome - I did go to the BMW driving school a few years back (my sister gave it to me for my birthday) - we drove fast, but on a closed track.

It was humbling - never knew what a bad driver I was - it taught me a great deal and I am a much better and more careful driver these days.

We have been planning this trip to New Zealand to see our friends - I figured I might be able to get in some drive time without a great deal of added expense.

I have been to Darwin.

It would be cool to drive to Alice Springs.

Never heard of Birdefender - I run AdAware and didn't get a notice - will check settings and do a full scan later. I would hate to have to run Malwarebytes - destroys the bad, but is the Genghis Khan of protection - runs over a lot of stuff you need as well if you're not careful.
