Additionally a major bright spot for Catholicism in America is the Hispanic.

The Catholic religion in the US is on the wane re Italians and Irish.

Brazen self interest underlies the Pope's open southern border push.

I don't think Trumps supporters care what anybody says, including Trump.

They just hate to have their bluff called. The beliefs of today's GOP, while overtly embracing Christianity, go against many of the fundamental tenets of the faith. Though I personally don't like mixing religion and politics, I enjoy watching Trump being called out for his bullshit.
It does get him riled up, to have ANYONE take a poke at his bloated ego.

I don't care if he's winning. I don't even care if he wins...........He'll still just be a manipulative asshole, out for himself. That's all he's ever been.

Of course. The Pope is an ambitious businessman like any other. Beyond the piety and hullabaloo, every religion is a business that must have a growing membership to survive. And they all compete for membership, because more members brings more resources.

Look at "Prosperity Gospel" and tell me that isn't just a blatant effort to exploit greed to draw people into the fold............

Different modus operandi, same goals.

Looks like The Donald has walked his comments back a little.

"During a CNN televised town hall, he said the Pontiff's statement was actually 'softer' than what the media had first reported "

You sure seem to care. It sure is entertaining watching a Trump supporter call someone else a nut.

I never once stated that I thought Kasich had a chance, though I hope he does. He and Jeb! are probably the only two adults left in the GOP race and I can't support Jeb! as he has enlisted his brother's foreign policy team.

To the extent I like Kasich, it has more to do with being a process of elimination than a full-throated endorsement. I guess I'm just a raging moderate who can't take any candidate on the fringes seriously, be it Trump or Bernie.

Who cares? People who enjoy watching him take heat are stupid. If it wasn't for these idiots, he would get no heat, no press, & probably would be losing to Cruz & Rubio.
The people who can't stand him are gonna get him elected. This is the exact same thing that happens here with Sheriff Joe. The Left can't figure out how to get their shoelace out of a knot.
