Looking at the reports on last night's debates - with that bunch of looney toons you were expecting maybe sanity?

I'm not expecting to hear a great deal of sanity from anyone.

In all honesty, I don't know anyone (including myself) who views Bush or Juliani as true heros. I just feel that hit piece by Krugman was in bad taste given the timing. It's lazy journalism as well.

Did not see the piece, but yes, there has simply been too much about 9/11 one way or t'other in the media of late.

For better or worse, it seems Krugman has chosen to wear the mantel of an educated, articulate counterpoint to the Limbaugh/Hannity rabble-rousers/apologists for the Right. Fighting fire with fire, as it were.

Why not? He had cashed in on the national trend of lower crime. He learned to cash in on anything going on at the time.

ROTFLMAO!!! Awesome.

Rudy might not be a hero, but he was certainly the right man at the right time.

Excellent post. Of course there is no universal truth.

As they say, a hero in one country is a terrorist in another.

How so?

Was Bush the right man at the right time also? (In relation to 911)
