He does seem to be flailing about. At least he focused, albeit briefly, on the fact that Zimmerman failed to simply declare that he was a neighboorhood watch volunteer. That is all Zim had to do and none of this would've happened.

That would have undermined his perceived authority to harass someone in a public place, broken his personal facade of righteousness that he maintains to this moment.

agreed and i would add that Mr Martin should have told him he lived there and was on his way home.

the real issue here is how divided by racial tension america still is.
