Ok, you're citing cause and effect; us being the cause of global warming. Problem is that measuring everything we can (water temperature, air temperature, carbon levels and so on) every measurement we make has been exceeded by natural changes. There's an interesting site here http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/co2/vostok.html Analyzing ice cores from different depths shows CO2 levels periodically much higher and much lower than they are now. I'm not saying we don't cause localized pollution that effects us badly, but compared to what happens naturally, its effect is minimal and short term. A planet killer? No; we're not big enough..
