We don't buy stuff from China or most foreign countries. From the few that have fair trade with us that's OK, the ones that have "Free trade" they can shove it.

Simplest way to reform the legal system is loser pays all the expenses, their own and the other guy's. Don't get a lot of frivolous lawsuits in Canada that way.
+1! It forces the plaintiff to make sure they have a rock solid case, thus negating friviolous and unnecessary lawsuits. No more, "Let's run it through the courts and see if it flies.".

Suing a big corporation tends to be a mugs game either way. Several years ago Florences Monte Carlo had a bolt holding a front upper A arm pull through the frame. I wrote to Jack Smith, then CEO of GM. He had his personal assitant call me and she admitted no wrong but paid for all repairs. Beats suing people anyday. In fact when I did mention it to the company lawyer his comment was "Sure, you could have sued GM, you could also have waltzed with a gorilla." he did not recommend either.

To illustrate, I had a woman stop me in the mall parking lot and ask for directions to WallMart. I said "Madam I have no idea where they are nor do I have any desire to know"
