Sadly the two parties are so entrenched that there is little or no possibility of changing the political system. Note that when you go to vote just how far down the list party affiliation goes, even the damn dogcatcher is (R) or (D). The Framers warned us about factions (well at least Hamilton, Madison and Jay did) but how does one person or even a group go about changing the system?

Ever since SCOTUS legalized bribery and the recent brain fart by the Robert's court has so much money aligned against honest men that there is no chance of changing the system. About the only thing I will ever agree with Lou Dobbs is his statement that the two parties are wings of the same bird.

Sorry but while they had the best of intentions the Framers have hung an albatross around our neck - yes a parliamentary system woulld be better, much better.
