Yes. He developed a mission to destroy. 4-2-7's personality and lightly-moderated antagonistic conversation do not mix. He is much more successful on AK, where his drives are channeled, for him, into more positive directions.

Would this forum be de-clique'd if we resort to some daily mud slinging at each other?

I'm fine with sane settled Conservative members who are here to educate as to their perspective. Patience is a virtue that can be tested if not exhausted hereabouts.

Yes there are knee-jerk reactions to particular statements or positions, but quite often posters participate in a competition of ideas. There is no entrance exam to participate here, but those who participate generally earn their reputation.

And not all ideas are created equal. For example, IMO most of the outlandish statements by Limbaugh deserve no more than disdain. They need not be treated as a valuable contribution to the universe of ideas. Those who come here spouting the latest from Rush cannot expect to earn the respect of those who read their posts.

By the way, you have to admit that my original response, quoted above, is longer than your average post here.

Regards,

D-Ray

Honestly, when you start a thread with a title that suggests that those who oppose Trump are not capable of reason, can you be surprised that the responses are something less than warm and fuzzy?

With all due respect, Ed, it seems to me that you're trying to rationalize your support for Trump by calling all of those who don't support him irrational haters.

I contend that people who find Trump ill-suited for the presidency due to his hateful rhetoric concerning minorities and women, his incessant lying , and his cluelessness on foreign policy have nothing to apologize for. YMMV.

I agree in principle but not as applied here, toward posters who will not joint the condemnation.
