Somewhere, in some D.C. dive bar, Bannon cries tears of joy into his 8th Rob Roy of the day. This is his dream, and we're living in it.

Yet, compared to Trump himself, they're all mild in comparison.

Trump isn't standing up to this group of racists because he is just as racist as they are.

Trump had it exactly right. You have a mixture of whites with different motives protesting or whatever the removal of a statue that nobody had paid any attention to forever. Then you have a group of activists with different motives come in to confront the protestors and violence breaks out.

Imagine that.

Of course, the media and politicians are immediately slobbering all over themselves trying to prove who is the least racist.

Leave the fucking statues alone.

I guess it is like an opiate for the race baiters to hand out instead of something that might actually be useful.

I can't decide which is worse - the actions of the white supremacists or the refusal of the president to show any moral leadership in its aftermath (while acknowledging his contribution to the ascendancy of the Alt-Right). If you don't condemn both, you are indeed deplorable.

I don't have any problem with that. But, it seems the media wants to crucify Trump because he didn't make the whole deal 100% the fault of white supremacists.
