Through acts in the real world. If there is a ruin at Palmyra, that is reality. But if you blow it up, reality becomes different.

If law and precedent say 'If an officer says he feels threatened, that is sufficient to justify killing a citizen,' that is reality. But if new legislation is passed or if judges break with precedent, reality is changed.
