It sounds as though he may have taken a fellow to the mat during his earlier years as a wrestling coach.

That's one expensive dalliance.

If this is blackmail and it sure sounds like it, wouldn't that be illegal?

Well, whaddya know?

Dennis Hastert, the former speaker of the House of Representatives, was paying a man to not say publicly that Mr. Hastert had sexually abused him decades ago, according to two people briefed on the evidence uncovered in an F.B.I. investigation into the payments.

Wheaton College drops Hastert's name from one of their buildings.

Quote:
Wheaton College in Illinois announced Sunday it’s changing the name of the J. Dennis Hastert Center for Economics, Government and Public Policy.

“In light of the charges and allegations that have emerged, the college has redesignated the center as the Wheaton College Center for Economics, Government and Public Policy at this time,” the school said in a press release.
Now what happens to the Hastert Rule? Does that get abandoned by the House?
