Editorial: Georgia voters deliver a resounding rejection of Trumpism
https://www.stltoday.com/opinion/edi...fb4d2b3b7.html

Quote:
As the Nov. 8 election demonstrated, moderates of both parties are uniting increasingly in the middle, along with independents, to select candidates who reject the democracy-threatening divisiveness of Trump’s MAGA base. Tuesday’s result is a victory for Warnock to savor, for sure, but it’s also a big win for Americans everywhere who want to steer their country back onto the course of sanity.
Yep. We have MAGAMorons who will never give up on their Dear Leader, but a majority of the country, of both parties, sees just how idiotic, despicable and dangerous a path Donny has led the MAGAMorons down.

Unfortunately, the likes of the ignorant Insane Clown and his pals will never see the light.

Here is something the ever useless Gingrich wrote on GA runoff on election day. Please be prepared to get sick reading this.

Quote:
Walker is a genuine conservative who, as an athlete and businessman, knows the value of hard work, discipline, and commitment. These qualities are required for success at the individual and national levels. He has a deep faith in the American system and a sincere belief that opportunity is available to everyone willing to work hard.

Warnock is an extraordinarily left-wing big-government so************************t dedicated to woke principles. He is to the left of even Sen. Bernie Sanders. In two years in Washington, the Democrat has gone along with President Joe Biden and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer 96 percent of the time. Further, Warnock's financial bases are New York City and Hollywood—and his votes and efforts will reflect that.
Is this what is known as hogwash? What an ignorant jerk.

... and did Sinema wait for Warnock to win before she went independent so as not to upset the balance in Senate? Is she that considerate? Will Manchin now join her in order to make it all about him?

Sinema could become an Evangelical Christian and appeal to the Trumpers to get reelected. But Kari may have her own plans.

Trump and his movement are symptoms of America's profound disorder — but not the cause

Excellent article. Concluding paragraph:

"Ultimately, America's democracy crisis and the rise of neofascism are a symptom, not a cause, of deeper cultural and social problems in what the Pulitzer-winning journalist Chris Hedges has called an "empire of illusion." Donald Trump and the Republican Party could disappear tomorrow, and the Age of Trump will likely soon be deleted from the public's collective memory. But the deeper roots of America's democracy crisis will not go away. Our society is sick and is using maladaptive behavior to compensate for that condition. American society will not get better until its leaders and the public at large face admit the horrible reality of the situation and then do the hard work to remedy it."

Yep.

There have always been and will always be extreme politicians out there. The problem arises when people elect them, which seems to be happening more these days.

On a bright note, Democrat Kris Mayes wins the recount and will be the next Attorney General of Karizona. Congrats Ms. Mayes, now lock her up.

Democrat wins Arizona attorney general race after recount

A recount of votes has confirmed Democrat Kris Mayes narrowly defeated Republican Abraham Hamadeh in the Arizona attorney general’s race, one of the closest elections in state history.
