I'm starting to realize that the likely cause for the endless torrent of drivel outta you is that you were once shot in the head.

As far as the 8th being subverted, that's a stretch imo as it was accidental.

Pete
How is it accidental that untested (and undisclosed) drugs don't work with the efficacy of tested drugs? We are asking the government to act in our behalf in these executions. Doesn't it give you pause that the governor and legislator fought tooth and nail to execute this guy with an untested cocktail?

FWIW, the governor herself has now issued a 14-day stay of execution of the other guy while they do the homework that they should done in the first place. And you're from the party of personal accountability or not? Please.

If this governor had an ounce of class or dignity, she (and the legislator) would apologize and resign. She hasn't done death penalty proponents any favors with her injudicious actions. She let the public's (and her party's) blood lust get the better of her judgment when she and the legislator didn't do the due diligence to ensure that the drug cocktail and the people administering it were up to the task of fulfilling her constitutional obligations under the 8th Amendment.

A very goofy push the past 15-20 years to be like Europe, No Thanks.
If the model is modern Scandenavia it would be a vast improvement over the corrupt plutocratic clusterfuck we have presently.

I find it exceedingly odd that "constitutional conservatives" have no qualms about subverting the 8th amendment, as long as it assuages their blood lust and need for revenge.
Hypocrisy!

So you feel impeachment for an elected official not following the Constitution.
One they swore to uphold, the laws of the land.

I always thought lethal injection was terrible anyway, as drugs act differently on different people. Hanging works the same way on everyone.

Quite right, and quick if done properly. Too bad about our capricious for-profit justice system and all that making advocacy of it all-but impossible.

Uh, did anyone say you in particular were lusting and raging?

But do you have any doubt at all about my ability to quote comments from people who definitely are?

If I were dictator there would be a lot more executions.

I'll just leave it at that.
