How is it accidental that untested (and undisclosed) drugs don't work with the efficacy of tested drugs? We are asking the government to act in our behalf in these executions. Doesn't it give you pause that the governor and legislator fought tooth and nail to execute this guy with an untested cocktail?
FWIW, the governor herself has now issued a 14-day stay of execution of the other guy while they do the homework that they should done in the first place. And you're from the party of personal accountability or not? Please.
If this governor had an ounce of class or dignity, she (and the legislator) would apologize and resign. She hasn't done death penalty proponents any favors with her injudicious actions. She let the public's (and her party's) blood lust get the better of her judgment when she and the legislator didn't do the due diligence to ensure that the drug cocktail and the people administering it were up to the task of fulfilling her constitutional obligations under the 8th Amendment.
