Most stations sure don't make that on gas now! More should have those signs.

My understanding is that the profit margin on fuel is very slim these days, the actual profit comes from the other stuff.

Right, localized overhead is understood here.
Most folks in this end of things are trying to make a living and don't expect to make a killing.

Gvmt isn't the problem, corruption in gvmt and private enterprise is, and the response should be effective incorruptible and accountable oversight. In other words a people problem, make people accountable.
